**The Role**
A role for an Associate Broker within the Texas Mergers & Acquisitions practice has arisen for an enthusiastic self-motivated individual.
The Associate Broker applies a basic understanding of commercial insurance to support activities relating to Broking of commercial client risks for Middle Market Property & Casualty insurance programs, working under the supervision of more experienced team members and referring decisions for support and guidance.
**Principal Duties/Responsibilities**
_Initial duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:_
+ Gather client data and prepare initial drafts of submission documents and finalize for market delivery
+ Conduct preliminary market research to identify potential risk solutions
+ Compare insurer quotes to client specifications and develop side-by-side comparisons
+ Assist in preparing client and prospect presentations with guidance from senior brokers
+ Draft program proposals for internal and client review
+ Review program binders for accuracy and completeness
+ Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., service, claims, analytics) to support broking activities
+ Participate in internal training sessions to build industry knowledge and technical skills
+ Assist with client communications and meeting preparation logistics
+ Ensure adherence to compliance and quality assurance procedures
_Developing to:_
+ Independently lead the placement of standard and moderately complex risks
+ Design tailored risk solutions based on in-depth market analysis
+ Serve as a key contact for assigned clients, maintaining strong relationships
+ Provide advisory input to clients based on market trends and benchmarking
+ Perform detailed policy and program audits for accuracy and completeness
+ Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development
+ Lead client meetings and renewal strategy discussions
Contribute to new business development, including cross-sell/up-sell, RFP responses, and prospecting initiatives

**Skills/Qualifications**
The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets & attributes:
+ Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
+ Prior P&C Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required
+ Insurance broker’s P&C license required or obtained within 90 days of onboarding
+ Self-driven with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
+ Project Management: ability to organize and execute assigned tasks in timely fashion
+ Communicate confidently with clients and carriers via face-to-face meetings and phone calls
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
+ Keen attention to detail
+ Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
+ Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,000.00-$115,000.00 USD annually.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
