Boeing Poland Software Engineering develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. As an Associate AvionX MBD Software Engineer the job holder will join the Software Engineering team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing organization.
Hiring details:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Gdansk, Rzeszów or Warsaw. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
This position is expected to be onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Model development: Support the development of systems and models using tools like MATLAB and Simulink. This involves creating block diagrams, specifying system behavior, and implementing algorithms
Simulation and analysis: Use simulation techniques to analyze the behavior of the system model under different conditions and inputs. This includes running simulations and analyzing results
System integration: Support integration of the system models with other components or subsystems
Verification and validation: development and maintenance of unit testing, integration testing, and system-level testing to ensure the model behaves as expected
Working with requirements: This involves requirements development and proper interpretation of software requirements while creating and developing models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: contributing to development process of certain system components
Creating technical documentation, user manuals, and design specifications
Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training, self-study, and participation in professional development activities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ year of professional experience
English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++ is essential. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python can also be beneficial
Elementary knowledge of building models, simulating systems, analyzing simulation results, and code generation in MBD approach
System-level thinking: This includes understanding system requirements, architecture, and integration
Willingness to develop safety critical software and models according to DO-178C and DO-331
Familiarity with software development cycle such as version control, testing methodologies, agile development and CI/CD
Ability to identify issues, and propose effective solutions
Continuous learning: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies
Collaborating in international and multi-national projects
