Description We are looking for a skilled Associate Attorney to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in civil litigation and at least four years of relevant experience, particularly in commercial litigation. Familiarity with employment law is highly desirable, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage case reviews, draft pleadings, and handle law and motion matters effectively. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough case reviews and analyze applicable laws to provide strategic legal counsel. • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail. • Represent clients in court proceedings, including arguing law and motion matters. • Develop and execute discovery strategies, including preparing and responding to written discovery requests. • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless case management and effective representation. • Maintain compliance with billable hour requirements, achieving a minimum of 1,650 hours annually. • Provide guidance on employment law matters as applicable to client cases. • Utilize case management and document management software to organize and track case progress. • Research and summarize legal matters to support case strategy and client advisement. Requirements • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. • Active member of the California State Bar. • Minimum of four years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate arguments effectively. • Proven attention to detail and organizational skills in managing complex cases. • Familiarity with case management and document management software. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Knowledge of employment law is a plus.
