The following are the qualifications for the Associate opportunity: • 1-3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in a personal injury or products liability practice; • Good range of case management experience, including intake, preparation of complaints, discovery, some taking and defending depositions (preferred, but not required), law and motion, drafting / opposing dispositive motions (e.g., MSJs/MSAs), and ideally trial preparation, mediation, and settlement negotiation experience; • Plaintiff-side experience is preferred, but associates with defense experience are encouraged to apply if they have a proven interest in prosecuting injured workers’ / consumers’ rights; • Persuasive legal writing and advocacy skills; • Spanish language fluency is a big plus; • Willing and able to travel often to meet clients, attend depositions, and make court appearances; and • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
