Robert Half is recruiting Associate Attorney for a top-regarded, mid-sized personal injury law firm with a beautiful office in the East Bay. The firm is well-regarded for its commitment to its deserving clientele and the achievement of excellent results (verdicts and settlements) for them and their families.
The following are the qualifications for the Associate opportunity:
• 1-3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in a personal injury or products liability practice;
• Good range of case management experience, including intake, preparation of complaints, discovery, some taking and defending depositions (preferred, but not required), law and motion, drafting / opposing dispositive motions (e.g., MSJs/MSAs), and ideally trial preparation, mediation, and settlement negotiation experience;
• Plaintiff-side experience is preferred, but associates with defense experience are encouraged to apply if they have a proven interest in prosecuting injured workers’ / consumers’ rights;
• Persuasive legal writing and advocacy skills;
• Spanish language fluency is a big plus;
• Willing and able to travel often to meet clients, attend depositions, and make court appearances; and
• Active and in good standing with the State Bar of California.

Requirements • A minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience, ideally in personal injury or products liability law.
• Demonstrated case management skills, including intake, discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Experience in trial preparation, mediation, and settlement negotiations is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research and persuasive legal writing.
• Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable but not required.
• Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
• A commitment to advocating for injured workers' and consumers' rights.
