Description We are looking for a driven and compassionate Associate Attorney to join our plaintiff personal injury litigation firm in Houston, Texas. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop their legal expertise while representing clients in personal injury cases. The role offers hands-on experience in litigation and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through dedicated client advocacy. Responsibilities: • Manage personal injury cases throughout all stages, from initial intake to resolution. • Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement demands. • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare briefs and memoranda to support litigation strategies. • Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and address their questions. • Assist in discovery processes, including drafting responses and preparing for depositions. • Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, or trials under the guidance of senior attorneys. • Support settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and other involved parties. • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members to ensure cases are handled efficiently and effectively. Requirements Preferred Qualifications: + Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Previous exposure to personal injury or litigation settings (internships or clinics preferred). + Familiarity with case management systems and a willingness to learn new tools. + Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
