Overview Razorfish is looking for someone who loves social media and has both conceptual and hands-on design chops to join our team as a Junior Art Director in support of a key automotive client! In this role, you’ll partner with a team of creatives to concept, design, develop and execute social content that elevates our automotive brands. You’ll also work closely with Account, Strategy, and Project Management teams to deliver timely content that resonates with our audiences and drives engagement. The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media and loves to stay up-to-date with trends and the latest features of major social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X. They will also have some prior professional experience in an advertising agency and be capable and comfortable of working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams. PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role and will require onsite engagement an average of 3 days/week. Candidates local to the Detroit, Miami, and Chicago markets will be prioritized but highly qualified candidates local to other markets may also be considered. Responsibilities Collaborate with designers, copywriters, content creators, and brand strategists to develop, adapt, present, guide, and execute creative concepts for social media content, posts, and campaigns that are aligned to the brand's vision and goals Leverage an existing library of brand and product images, graphics, and logos to create on-brand, platform-appropriate social media posts, stories, and shortform content; resize, tweak, merge, and assemble existing assets in order to maximize their impact, designing additional custom assets as needed Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across social media channels, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand identity and ensure alignment to brand initiatives, cultural moments and platform trends Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure a cutting-edge, modern, relevant social media presence Qualifications There is no specific educational requirement for this role 1-3 years of prior professional design or art direction experience with a focus on social media design and creative concepting; prior experience working in a consultancy or advertising agency is strongly preferred An interest in the automotive industry; prior experience working with automotive clients is a plus High degree of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other specialized design and social media tools; experience with video editing and animation tools is a plus Extensive understanding of social media platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, etc.) and their respective best practices A passion for all things social media and a desire to stay up-to-date with trends and the latest features of major social platforms An eye for motion, type, color, composition and concept Excellent conceptual creative and visual storytelling skills Confident, self-directed, and independent with outstanding organizational and time management skills as well as a meticulous attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, geographically-distributed teams Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, continuously-evolving environment Very strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence Excellent listener with an ability to take direction and guidance, receive constructive criticism, and continuously improve personal process A design portfolio showcasing creative and conceptual work for social channels is required and should be submitted at time of application Additional information The Power of One starts with our people! This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
