What is the opportunity?

As the largest commodity futures group within RBC Dominion Securities, The Simpson-Caputo Group is seeking a highly skilled Associate Advisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for trading Commodities, Currencies and Financials Futures and Futures Options. This role requires an understanding of market dynamics, strong analytical skills, and the ability to execute trades efficiently. Your main responsibilities would be trading, advisory, education and prospecting with the focus on agricultural commodities and currencies.

You will be working alongside three other fully licensed futures and options advisors.

What will you do?

Maintain strong and professional relationships with our clients. Establish strong working relationships with our industry partners

Collaborate closely with the other advisors, providing insights on markets, as well as monitoring market trends and economic indicators.

Contribute to the enhancement of trading processes and the development of new strategies

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

At least 3 years of experience in an advisory role. Hold a current CIRO registration (successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conducts and Practices Handbook).

Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent active listening skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.

Strong ethical standards and a commitment to compliance and regulatory requirements.

Nice to Have  

Completed Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing (DFOL) and Futures Licensing Course (FLC) would be an asset
