What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities Oshawa branch is currently seeking an Associate Advisor to join a well-established advisory team as a trader.   Assist the Portfolio Manager with all investment execution.  Summarize investment articles, conference calls, newsletters and institutional research.

What will you do?

Maintenance of discretionary models which includes equities, mutual funds, ETFsDevelop and maintain the team’s rebalancing processAssist in portfolio operations and administration:Trade executionDebit balance clean upDiscretionary program DashboardCash balancesForeign exchangeAssist in trading on fixed income maturities, non PIM tradingAssist Portfolio Manager with portfolio proposals and reviews

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Approval as Registered Representative (RR) with IIROCUniversity degree – a finance or business degree is preferredExceptional written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

Nice-to-have

2 years or more of professional experience within investment industryMeticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skillsHighly-developed client service skillsCIM designation is an asset
