About Caterpillar Financial Products Division (FPD):

We help our customers, dealers and Caterpillar succeed through financial services solutions. We are the financial arm of Caterpillar Inc. headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with offices and subsidiaries located throughout North and South America, Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe.

Role Definition:

Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of an operating unit.

What You Will Do:

Posting bank statements – outgoing bank payments, currency conversion, time deposit operations, communication with the bank, maintaining records on foreign exchange contracts and reconciliation with the bank's currency control

Get approval for payments and collect all the documents, prepare register of outgoing payments

Checking bank statements for the correctness of payments

Settlement of payments, overpayments, and corrective invoices

Posting of invoices from vendors including non-residents, reconciliation with suppliers

Preparation of reports, Excel files on settlements, necessary to close the month

Archiving of accounting documents

Preparing analyses and reports for the department's internal needs

Cooperation with other departments and audit team (during annual Audit).

Reconciliation of accounting accounts considering US GAAP and reconciliation with management reports

Processing employee settlement reports

Accounting for withholding tax from non-residents, making the relevant accounting entries

What You Will Have:

Basic Requirements:

Min. 3 years of experience as an accountant or similar,

Higher education (preferred majors: finance, economics, accounting),

Good knowledge of MS Excel,

Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

Accuracy and responsibility in the performance of assigned tasks,

Ability to work under time pressure,

Ability to work in a team.

Effective Communications: Basic understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Basic knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Problem Solving: Basic knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Accounting: Basic knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

Financial Record Keeping: Basic knowledge of financial record keeping processes, methods, and tools; ability to maintain accurate and thorough records of financial transactions.

Additional Information:

This role is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Business travel time: occasionally, up to 10%.
