Associate – Privacy Control Framework

Enterprise Data Management & Products (EDMP), a key part of our Technology organization, focuses on delivering data products that fuel business growth and unlock value, while also shaping robust data management strategies and governance solutions.  Our aim is to propel growth, unlock potential, enhance efficiency, manage risk, and foster talent.  By prioritizing enterprise growth across all sectors, we create solutions that enhance satisfaction and value, streamline operations for scalability, and maintain trust and security.

The Privacy Program Enablement Associate will be an integral part of the team supporting the roadmap and development for this new Global Privacy Center of Excellence, facilitating the program’s scope, processes, and deliverables, promoting awareness, collaboration, and engagement, and helping identify and manage risk.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support partners within the global Privacy Center of Excellence to enhance an enterprise-wide privacy control framework to guide how American Express detects and mitigates privacy risk Provide documentation support for technical and business requirements so that technology can successfully implement and document relevant privacy controls Ensure integration of privacy controls embedded across existing systems and capabilities and support continued maintenance Collaborate with Privacy Risk Assessment Team and Enterprise Data Management to refresh and execute assessment of privacy risk and treatment of PII Coordination across Privacy COE to ensure appropriate documentation is captured so that necessary controls are captured across the Enterprise Manage process for ensuring controls meet governance expectations Ensure consistency in content and quality of documents

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years expereince as an Analyst/Project Analyst Bachelor's Degree Experience with stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications:

High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability Experience in a large, complex financial institution preferred Basic knowledge of banking products Strong skills with Microsoft Office products including, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint Proven capacity to engage effectively with all levels of management and foster strong relationships. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated integrity, innovation, teamwork, and excellence Willingness to think outside the box, ask questions and raise concerns Proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully within a matrixed organization. Enjoys solving large and complicated problems. Ability to maintain a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
