- Lead and coordinate the design of bridge and tunnel structures as part of major infrastructure projects.
- Manage technical teams and ensure the quality and accuracy of structural design deliverables.
- Prepare and review design documents, drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards (AASHTO, Eurocodes, BS, etc.), and client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and other consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops.
- Support the preparation of proposals, fee estimates, and design schedules.
- Ensure all design activities are delivered to agreed timescales and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in the design of bridges and tunnels, with a solid understanding of structural behavior and analysis.
- Demonstrated experience working on infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of local standards and approval processes.
- Proficient in structural design software such as MIDAS, LUSAS, SOFiSTiK, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital engineering platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly.
- Member of a professional engineering institution (e.g., MICE, PE) is advantageous.
- Ability to lead small to medium-sized design teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
