You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements, income tax returns, related party transactions, and other reporting obligations to the BIR and SEC, including performing month-end accounting tasks such as reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies, as well as handling intercompany cash settlements with both onshore and offshore counterparties. You will also prepare and electronically file monthly and quarterly tax returns, such as withholding tax, VAT and FBT, along with supporting information, submission of supplementary details, and posting remittance journals.
In addition, you will assist in the reconciliation and investigation of BIR findings during tax audits, analyse expenses and operational reports to investigate variances, ensure transactions are accurately recorded in appropriate accounts, and adhere to the Macquarie financial control framework. You will respond to ad-hoc queries and requests while maintaining high standards of controllership, timely delivery of work, efficient preparation and updating of process documentation, and managing responses to queries from clients and internal stakeholders. Certified Public Accountant with 1 year of relevant accounting experience External audit exposure or assistance in a BIR tax audit examination is an advantage Experience in performing financial and accounting control tasks including general accounting and reconciliations A good knowledge of accounting standards with exposure to IFRS an advantage Good working knowledge of ERP and financial accounting systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high quality of work.
