Associate, Strategic Finance - Financial Products
_**This is a hybrid role and you must be located in, or willing to relocate to, San Francisco for the position.**_ **About the Role** As part of the Strategic Finance team at Uber, you will play a pivotal role in the Financial Products space. You will dive in by learning deeply about the growing business, developing internal reporting and forecasting processes, and teaming with business partners to influence strategic decisions. You will be instrumental in scaling processes that will contribute to streamlining strategic decision making. If you enjoy taking the paintbrush on a blank canvas, are a self-starter with proven financial skills, a passion for excellence, and a strong team mentality, we encourage you to get in touch! **What You’ll Do** - Develop an understanding of the Financial Products space, including existing product performance and product launches, informing strategic decision making - Perform monthly and quarterly close and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis and communicating results to global finance and leadership. - Build partnerships cross-functionally with Accounting, Regional and Global Finance, and business partners to dig into result drivers and ensure accurate reporting. - Maintain, build, and enhance robust financial models for existing and new products, supporting both our monthly forecasting and annual planning cycles. - Engage in the development of new processes, tools, and reporting to deliver impactful and actionable insights that drive critical business decision-making. - Serve as a strategic advisor to business partners, providing financial expertise and actionable insights to drive key decisions and assess progress against company objectives. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and automate financial reporting, forecasting, and planning processes. - Contribute to company-wide financial planning, offering comprehensive financial insights into our Financial Products suite - Be a proactive, creative problem-solver who is eager to learn new technical skills and push the boundaries beyond traditional forecasting methods. **Basic Qualifications** - BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant subject. - 2+ years of proven experience in financial analysis. - Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for complex financial modeling. - Prior financial and/or analytical experience including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or operations. **Preferred Qualifications** - Outstanding analytical skills: Best practices are second nature, and your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitive. - Excellent communication and people skills: Numbers are key, but a business is built with people. You can clearly articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences. - Self-starter: You will take initiative, be dedicated, set, and drive toward goals with minimal supervision. - Ability to prioritize: We are consistently working on multiple projects at any given time, so you are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and have the ability to optimally multitask. - Standout colleague: This is a highly collaborative and encouraging team environment. You cooperate and work effectively with others in the pursuit of common goals, fostering diversity, inclusion, and information sharing. - Attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment: You are meticulous and can deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. - Experience with enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, and are comfortable leveraging AI. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$106,000 per year - USD$118,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
