Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Risk / Policy Management in New York, New York

Leading underwriting approvals and managing client credit portfolios across domestic (US) and international markets. Developing and maintaining regulatory and internal credit risk reports. Conducting financial statement analysis, market risk evaluation, and jurisdictional risk. Partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement customized reporting solutions. Leading and actively participating in strategic credit risk projects, driving process improvements and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Conducting comprehensive credit analysis of transactions, annual reviews, and ad-hoc assessments. Delivering actionable credit ratings and recommendations, maintaining alignment with internal risk strategies and ensuring accurate credit exposure classification. Escalating critical observations related to individual credit relationships, providing data-driven recommendations on credit classifications and risk ratings. Mentoring and training junior staff, cultivating a culture of risk awareness and analytical rigor while monitoring macroeconomic and geopolitical trends affecting repayment risk and portfolio health. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.

Salary:

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $124,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s in Financial Services, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field and five (5) years of experience  in the position offered or five (5) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a related occupation. The employer will also accept a 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree in the listed fields of study and five (5) years of experience. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Structured Risk Assessment; Regulatory Compliance with Federal and regulatory framework; Scenario analysis and stress testing; Jurisdiction- Specific Risk Analysis; Data Quality Assurance in Reporting Systems; Quantitative Analysis of Counterparty and Transaction analysis; Risk evaluation and compliance monitoring in credit and transaction; Interpreting Geopolitical and Macroeconomic Credit Impacts; and Fraud Detection and Prevention Techniques.
