Knowledgeable in and have previous hands-on mechanical experience with medium/heavy trucks, diesel or heavy equipment?Driven by providing an extraordinary customer experience?As the Service Advisor, Heavy Truck Maintenance, you will work from home in an inbound call center environment. You will use your experience to review requests from truck repair shops and approve or decline repairs based on the client’s policies.
A Day in the Life
Apply your diesel technical expertise (e.g.; repairs, preventative maintenance, labour & parts costs), while providing a superior customer experience, in responding to incoming calls from drivers and suppliers while resolving inquires involving repairs and roadside eventsTriage and respond to inquiries coming from our supplier interactive portal, email, or other internal toolsAssist drivers in locating appropriate repair facilitiesUse technical knowledge to effectively negotiate repairs on our client’s behalfRequirements
High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior experience as a mechanic or service advisor (writer) specializing in diesel engines (heavy-duty trucks/vehicles)Licensed 310T is requiredLicensed 310S is an asset, with an extensive Heavy Truck background.Bilingual French/English is an assetProficient with computer skills and using software such as Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Required to have high-speed wired internet connection – WiFi is not acceptable for this roleProven Communication, negotiation, and decision-making skillsTeam player who enjoys working with clients and repair shops on a daily basisAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAvailability to work early evenings, 1 day per weekend, and holidaysThe hiring base salary range for this position is $54,400 to $74,800 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
