Associate, Engineering Culture Events and Publicity Champion Requisition ID: 235242 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **The role:** To maximise the impact of any celebration, event or recognition event within Technology to ensure that Scotia becomes “the creators, guardians, and engineers of value and exceptional experiences for our clients” and is seen as a vibrant, fun, and exciting place to work. Act as an internal content creator for the various CIO’s working closely with the Manager, Engineering Culture Communication and Coordination to ensure that this is a constant stream of engaging content which drives engagement and esprit de corps. Ensure this content is placed on the correct platform at the correct time. Where needed liaise with internal Comms Team to ensure that all policies and processes are being followed. Ideate and design internal events which drive morale and team spirit, liaise with nominated team members from each of the CIO teams to ensure that the events fit in with the normal CIO set of events and amplify these. Work with HR and the CIO’s to maximise publicity around the Best of the Best celebration, both internally and externally. Ensure that this event is seen as a core part of the events lifecycle and tied ointo other celebrations such as the “secure code warrior” gamification process. Work with the CIO’s to identify significant milestone events, such as major project releases, significant anniversaries and other “wins” as arising – plan and make happen a suitable celebratory event and then ensure that is publicised. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Is this role right for you? In this role you will:** + Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. + Hands on scripting, filming, editing and post production of short form video content for internal and external social media. + Plan and organize various internal events within Scotiabank, organising food, drinks, entertainment and potentially venues for multiple functions and CIO’s throughout the year ensuring that there are minimal clashes. + Work with HR, HR Tech and the CIO’s to ensure that there is a better pick up on the internal points based Rewards system and the Best of the Best process that it feeds into. + Occasional photography at events. Post processing and editing and then distribution via internal channels with an emphasis on internal social media. + Act as a back up for the Manager, Engineering Culture Messaging and Coordination during vacations and busy periods. Ensuring that all communications which goes out from the team has passed a “four eyes” review and is free from errors. + Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. + Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. + Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:** + 4+ years in work experience – preferably in banking or technology. + Degree in any discipline from a recognized, accredited, university, or art school. Higher degree is a bonus. + Event planning experience. A project management qualification like PMP, or progress toward, is an asset. + Good skills with Adobe Creative Cloud. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
