What you’ll be doing

Primary client contact for credit related issues, client reporting, renewals, new credit to existing relationships. Drive loan closing process internally. Address maturities and annual reviews. Prepare and present CAMP reports and quarterly reviews. Respond to OD, draw requests. Perform loan structuring/UW for existing clients, new credit to existing clients. Knowledgeable on all relevant risk rating and profitability models. Review pricing grid/tickler reports. Perform loan structuring/underwriting and generate LPs. Serve as internal primary contact for portfolio maintenance activities. Remain active and engaged in client calls with RM. Coordinate onboarding, deposit account opening and TM activities. Review spreads, appraisals and other diligence. Approve draws/paydowns, overdrafts, wires, ACH suspensions, etc. Establish working relationship with Credit Officers and other functional teams.

How you’ll succeed

Compliance – You will participate in the loan administration processes in place by conducting renewals and annual reviews of various credits. Comply with all applicable Bank and industry policies, guidelines and controls, including ensuring that all mandatory training is completed

Risk Management – You will gather, review and critically assess third-party due diligence reports on a property, such as property assessments, environmental assessments, property fitness assessments and construction cost consultant reports.

Coordination – You will be the liaison between the central credit department (CPS) and the Relationship Managers. You will also act as a liaison between Collateral Analysts (CMA), Relationship Managers and clients in the preparation of letters of credit, Visa Enterprises etc.

Monitoring – You will actively identify credits about to expire, review lists with relationship managers and obtain/track copies of all necessary financial data and other documents stipulated in the credit agreement. After receiving these, complete any other preparatory documents to facilitate the annual renewal/review.

You have a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Finance or Property Management.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $67,000 - $87,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
