The Client Accounting Services Team at Baker Tilly (BT) is comprised of dedicated, client-focused professionals. In this role, you will work closely with Partners and Managers servicing existing clients to deliver client deliverables and advisory services such as:
Work effectively with property management teams to facilitate accurate entries at the property levelReview of monthly financial reporting at the property levelPrepare timely and accurate entries for month-end closeHelp lead best-in-class customer service to clients and employees at all times, with an emphasis on being proactive, responsive, timely, professional, and accuratePrepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and workpapersHandle day-to-day general accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsManage treasury-related activities such as lender/investor reporting and cash analysis and distributions to owners; as well as monthly bank reconciliationsResearch and assess all vendor payments to ensure they are properly coded prior to paymentAnalyze and prepare depreciation and fixed asset schedules on a monthly basisAssist with internal and external audit requestsAssist with ad-hoc projects as neededQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. Experience in lieu of a degree may be acceptedTwo (2) plus years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting functionsExperience in real estate property accountingExperience using Yardi VoyagerSolid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookAbility to provide exceptional client service with a high professional demeanor and ability to handle matters confidentiallyAbility to work in a cross-functional, rapidly changing, deadline driven environment serving multiple clientsStrong written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with all levels including clients, team members and team leadershipStrong attention to detail and focus on accuracyExcellent organization and time management skillsThe compensation range for this role is $53,100 to $100,680. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
