A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an IT Support Analyst at MKS Instruments Penang, your day begins by reviewing incoming support tickets and prioritizing requests from the global user base. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers, ensuring smooth operations within service level agreements. Throughout the day, you collaborate with infrastructure teams, assist users with system access and provisioning via tools like Intune and Autopilot, and maintain accurate asset inventories. You may also act as “Smart Hands” for onsite IT tasks, support project rollouts, and occasionally travel between local buildings to resolve technical issues. Clear communication and proactive problem-solving are key as you train users, document solutions, and uphold MKS’s standards of excellence

Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptlyDiagnose and troubleshoot system and application problems, ensuring minimal downtimeInstall, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applicationsDocument and track support requests using a ticketing system, ensuring all issues are logged and resolved in a timely mannerAssist in the setup and support of IT equipment for meetings, presentations, and conferencesConduct routine maintenance and updates on IT systems to ensure optimal performance and securityEducate and train users on best practices for using IT systems and applications, enhancing overall user proficiency



Skills You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and experience in building system solutions or business applications+2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
