We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in Shared Services & Banking Operations.

SSBO Treasury and Financing Services in Utah consists of below 4 teams:


Trade Support and Funding: Liquidity Management monitors the Firm's cash flows and balances providing Treasury with intraday forecasting as well as longer term forecasts. Cash Management has primary responsibility for funding of all Treasury managed firm cash accounts. The Trade Support Team within the Cash Management department acts as a control team on behalf of the Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Management ensuring timely processing of funding transfers by actioning any exceptions or confirmation that these deals might trigger. The team are responsible for multiple High Impact Functions (HIFs) function such as Client Money processing, ensuring & ensures the processing is completed with utmost accuracy.


Cash Transaction Services: CTS acts as the last line of defense for the firm, by reviewing payments with red flags, performing necessary due diligence, and only releasing once the red flags are addressed to mitigate operational, regulatory and liquidity risks. The team's scope of work aims at independent Investigation and releasing payments initiated by Business Units and Liquidity management teams.
Wireroom: Wireroom Provide MS self-clearing services for USD cash wires and bank account services through Morgan Stanley Bank NA (MSBNA). The team ensures incoming/outgoing payments through MS FED and affiliated accounts reach the desired destination.


Transaction Screening: Transaction screening is conducted on incoming and outgoing funds to ensure there are no OFAC/sanctions concerns. Outgoing payments are screened at initiation prior to release and Incoming payments are screened at the time of receipt prior to application into a client's account. If there is a potential match, an alert will be generated and reviewed by the Transaction Screening team using the in the Firm's exception management platform. The team liaises closely with the Internal and external stakeholders and the primary escalation point of contact is the Firm's Compliance Team

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position level position within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervisionSubject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requestsCulture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core valuesProduct knowledge: Basic banking knowledge desired with a focus on cash clearing and securities custodyLanguage: English requiredPC skill: Excellent PC skills in data analysis, producing presentations and project management.
