C++ Developer - Associate - Software Engineering
Profile Description
We are looking to hire strong C++ developer in Algo Bangalore Office. The ideal candidate will have strong C++, experience in large-scale real-time systems, deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms, problem solving skills, and good communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment of strategic and tactical solutions for client connectivity and order management systems, improving scalability, performance and efficiency of the platform. At a high level, the mission for this role over the next couple of years includes: the development of high performance electronic trading applications as part of a global strategic Algo/Electronic trading plant renovation; the evolution and adoption of core application infrastructure ranging from development and testing services, continuous delivery, to high performance, resilient and scalable runtime services and libraries. This candidate will also work closely with our business partners in sales and trading, risk management, compliance, operations, and other technology teams at Morgan Stanley.
Institutional Securities Technology
Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
ALGO (Algorithmic Trading, Client Connectivity & Market Data)
Develops trading & Analytics platform for IST, structured OTC Trading, Market Making & risk platform for IED
Software Engineering
This is a developer position for developing systems for Electronic Trading business. Strong knowledge of FIX and other native protocols.

What you’ll do in the role:
1. Develop C++ low-latency, high performance electronic trading applications and application infrastructure as part of a global strategic low-latency Algo/Electronic trading plant renovation.
2. Do analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment of strategic and tactical solutions for execution strategies, improving scalability, performance, and efficiency of the strategies.
3. You will work the full application life cycle in a fast-paced, high-stakes agile development environment.
What you’ll bring to the role:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of development experience building low latency trading engines and algorithms in C++11/14/17 using STL, Boost & Multithreading for a Unix/Linux platform.
3. Strong experience with C++ profiling and performance analysis tools.
4. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5.Knowledge and experience on agile software development practices.
6. Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
