Assistant Waitstaff Dining Room Supervisor (DAY/EVENING SHIFTS) Job Location: Wallingford Center, Connecticut Assistant Waitstaff Dining Room Supervisor Masonicare Health Center - Wallingford, CT Day/Evening Shifts - 40 hours per week (11:30AM to 7:30PM) Summary of Position: Coordinates, supervises and directs the waitstaff needed for the food service department day-to-day operation, catered functions and other department needs. Maintains records of personnel, resident charges and scheduling. Ensure that the dining facilities are maintained and properly staffed with qualified personnel. Reports To: Manager Dining Services Supervises: Waitstaff Contacts: Residents, families, staff Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Float as needed between as needed based on business need. + Adhere to all general policies and procedures pertaining to the food service department, staff, and clientele. . 3. Coordinate staffing, set-ups and services provided for any additional activities in house or catered. 4. Make recommendations to the Director of Dining Services, Executive Chef and Dining Services Manager as tolinen and uniform needs. 5. Participate in training development of the waitstaff and their scheduling. 6. Recommend and interview potential waitstaff. 7. With each service, discuss the menu with the chefs on duty regarding changes, additions and selections offered. 8. Delegate stations, pre-meal and post meal assignments each service, maintaining prompt, courteous and efficient workflow. 9. Go through menu before each service with the waitstaff, fielding comments, questions or concerns regarding the menu and serving it. 10. Assist the hostess in distributing and seating residents during service. 11. Ensure the wait staff utilizes safe and sanitary procedures throughout service and set-up. Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School or GED Experience: Some Waitstaff experience Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A Other: Key Competencies: Must have a pleasant personality and be able to relate well with older and younger adults. Able to make adjustments following complaints Provides care and services that demonstrate behaviors and the principles of person-centered care including affording people dignity, respect and compassion, offering coordinated care, support and treatment and care that is personalized.
