We are seeking to employ an Assistance Vice President/ Vice President in our Commercial & ILS management practice focused on the management of a portfolio of complex commercial ILS, Commercial re/insurance (P&C and Life) entities, talent management, and lead specific projects to develop revenue growth and operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial ILS, Commercial P&C, and Life re/insurance entities of varying complexity. This includes financial and insurance regulatory reporting for these entities, as well as providing technical support related to capital markets and commercial insurer transactions as needed, all while adhering to tight deadlines. Your daily responsibilities and impact: + Assist with structuring and formation discussions with prospective clients with a focus on technical accounting and capital modelling. + Collaborate with other Aon teams (Captives, Aon transformer vehicle, Capital advisory, Broking etc.) on ad hoc projects. + Relationship Leader for several cross-jurisdiction commercial ILS, P&C, and Life re/insurance entities of varying complexity. + Assist with driving the growth of commercial re/insurance/ ILS portfolio revenue. + Lead and participate in client value creation discussions, effectively articulating AIM's value proposition to commercial ILS, P&C, and Life re/insurance entities. + Assist or lead talent management including mentoring, developing, training and coaching junior colleagues to meet client needs and maintain the necessary expertise. + Assist with managing or lead the services provided to large multi-national clients with complex re/insurance programs. This includes specializing in P&C and Life, conducting feasibility studies, licensing and formation, capital optimization, transformers, sidecars, and other commercial re/insurance solutions + Liaise with the Risk Advisory and Compliance team to develop and implement Solvency II equivalent governance and risk management frameworks. + Collaborate with the actuarial and analytics team to complete regulatory capital and solvency returns i.e. BSCR. + Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS, as well as the insurance regulatory requirements. + Oversee the audit and regulatory reporting process. + Be familiar with US tax issues/implications including FATCA and PFIC reporting. + Manage the policies and procedures manual on an as-needed basis to proactively remain current with the changing commercial re/insurance market and regulatory framework. + Assist in various ad-hoc initiatives/projects as required to improve efficiency and productivity of the Commercial & ILS platform with a focus on commercial re/insurance entities. + Proactively raise the profile of the Bermuda office by representation at local and international industry conferences and other related events. This will include speaking engagements from time to time and ongoing relationship building with key local and global industry partners. + Attendance and/or participation in client Board and/or committee meetings. Required skills and experience that will lead to success: Vice president: + An undergraduate degree along with an accounting or financial analysis designation (CA, CPA, ACA, CFA) with a minimum of eight years of post-qualification experience. + An insurance designation (ARM, ARE, CPCU, ACII, CIU) is advantageous. + At least six to eight years of recent experience with an Insurance Management Company, specifically handling Commercial Clients, including entities involved in Life, Property & Casualty, and Insurance-linked Securities. + A minimum of six to eight years of experience managing various financial instruments such as sidecars and Incorporated Segregated Cells. + At least six to eight years of experience working with large alternative risk transfer clients and the capital market sector. + Thorough understanding of risk securitization concepts and relevant insurance legislation. + Strong knowledge of the Bermuda Solvency II Commercial regime, including the preparation and/or review of the Bermuda Solvency Capital Return (BSCR). + Strong US GAAP and IFRS financial reporting and analytical skills. + Proven track record of assisting start-up companies in building out their finance and accounting operations. + Strong track record of excellent client service, including commitment to meeting tight deadlines. + Proven track record of effectively managing teams both in-person and virtually. + Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and client senior management. + Working knowledge of MS Dynamics and SICS reinsurance system is advantageous. + Ability to demonstrate a willingness to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking, growth mindset practice, including participation in and representation of the Company at both internal and external functions.
