Assistant Vice President Heart and Vascular Service Line

The Assistant Vice President provides strategic and operational leadership across key clinical and administrative functions.  The AVP partners closely with Executive Leadership and departmental leaders to align services with organizational strategy enhance operational performance, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.  The AVP services as a key liaison between Senior Leadership and Operational teams and play an integral role in driving organizational-wide initiatives.

In addition to overseeing the Heart and Vascular Service Line, the AVP will provide administrative oversight of additional operational areas as assigned, such as radiology. The role supports long-range planning, service development, and performance management while contributing to system-wide initiatives and fostering collaboration across departments to enhance care delivery.

 

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and practices acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5–7 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, with cardiovascular or service line experience strongly preferred.

Excellent understanding of healthcare delivery models, service line development, and operational workflows. Requires strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic initiatives. Analytical ability is required to interpret data, solve complex problems, and support performance improvement efforts.
