MUFG Bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President for their Global Markets Operations team in Hong Kong. **What you'll do:**
+ Oversee day-to-day operational duties related to Forex and Money Market activities as a checker, ensuring accurate transaction processing, confirmations, and payments.
+ Support the Team Lead by monitoring daily processing tasks such as Deal Booking Control, Fund Settlement, Financial Booking, and Post-Deal Control to maintain smooth workflow.
+ Assist in supervising all routine work associated with treasury market settlement operations, guaranteeing compliance with internal strategies, policies from overseas units, and relevant circulars.
+ Ensure all activities adhere strictly to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), compliance guidelines, and other local or foreign regulatory requirements including DFA and HKMA-RMS.
+ Regularly review operational procedures together with the Team Lead to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and productivity within the department.
+ Follow established protocols to comply with Japanese, local Hong Kong, and international regulations while supporting routine operations in the treasury office.
+ Prepare ad-hoc reports or participate in special projects as assigned by the Department Head or Team Lead, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to business needs.
+ Maintain rigorous adherence to Service Legal Agreements during business-as-usual operations to uphold service quality standards.
+ Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure seamless execution of all operational responsibilities within tight deadlines.
+ Contribute positively towards fostering a culture of continuous improvement by sharing insights on best practices and supporting change initiatives.
**What you bring:**
+ Tertiary education or above is required for this position, providing you with a solid academic foundation for understanding complex financial operations.
+ A minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience working within treasury functions ensures you bring practical knowledge of industry practices.
+ Comprehensive understanding of treasury products enables you to navigate various instruments confidently while supporting market settlement activities.
+ Demonstrated awareness of AML requirements allows you to uphold high standards of compliance throughout all operational processes.
+ Excellent communication skills empower you to interact clearly and considerately with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
+ Strong interpersonal abilities foster positive relationships within your team and across departments, promoting effective collaboration.
+ Proficiency in computer applications—especially Microsoft Excel—enables efficient data management and reporting capabilities essential for this role.
+ Fluency in both Cantonese and English ensures clear communication in a multicultural workplace environment.
