 Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President – Human Resource – Employee Relations

As an Employee Relations Lead, your role will involve providing guidance, support, and resolution to various workplace issues. You will collaborate closely with HR teams, managers, and employees to address concerns, mitigate conflicts, and uphold organizational values.

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations professional to join our ER team. The candidate must possess excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, along with a deep understanding of labor laws and HR practices. He/she will be responsible for promoting employee engagement, addressing grievances, and implementing strategies to enhance workplace relations. The role will also involve conducting investigations, facilitating disciplinary actions when necessary, and providing proactive HR support to ensure a fair and respectful work environment. 

In this role, you are going to work for Head of Employee Relations (India) and may have to manage a team of experienced ER officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Specifically, you will require to:

Responsibilities:

Act as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding ER issues, providing timely guidance and support. 

Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disputes through effective mediation and negotiation techniques, fostering positive outcomes. 

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations, conducting investigations and recommending corrective actions as needed. 

Assist in performance management processes, including coaching managers on performance-related issues.

Collaborate with HR and management teams to develop training programs on ER-related topics.

Maintain accurate records of ER cases, investigations, and outcomes, preparing reports and analysis for management review. 

serves as a key contributor to development and maintenance of comprehensive Human Resources policies and strategies.

Manage the employee relations team to provide guidance to management on a full range of employee relations matters including informal and formal grievances, development of performance management plans, disciplinary issues, employee assistance programs etc.

Keep abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to employee relations.

Interpret and present reports on employee relations metrics, trends, and outcomes for key stakeholders. Use data to inform decision making and drive continued improvement in employee relations practices.

Excel in navigating complex matrix organisations and have a high level of organisational awareness.

Strong strategic stakeholder management and independent and persuasive personality.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in law, human resources, business administration, or a related field. 

Proven experience in employee relations roles, preferably within HR. 

In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices. 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

Certification in Employee Relations or HR management (desired but not mandatory).
