What you'll do:
As an Assistant Vice President in the Integrated Risk Management team based in Hong Kong, you will immerse yourself in a multifaceted role that places you at the centre of the organisation’s efforts to maintain robust operational resilience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating business continuity initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance is met across various domains including climate change risk and reputation risk, as well as supporting new product reviews. You will work hand-in-hand with colleagues from different departments—ranging from systems office to general administration—planning drills that test the bank’s preparedness for critical events. Your ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels will be essential as you coordinate committee meetings, manage policy documentation, resolve urgent issues promptly, and foster a culture of shared responsibility for risk management. Success in this role will come from your meticulous approach to workflow coordination, your proactive support of leadership objectives, and your talent for building trusted relationships across the organisation.
Coordinate operational resilience and business continuity management activities to ensure all daily workflows align with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple departments—including regional offices and group headquarters—to enhance the organisation’s resilience capabilities.
Collaborate with systems office, operations, and general administration teams to plan and execute business continuity drills and operational resilience tests that prepare the bank for crisis events.
Support the completion of daily obligations for the integrated risk management team, particularly in areas such as new product review, approval processes, and issue management.
Provide timely assistance to the risk management leadership team to ensure departmental objectives are met efficiently and accurately.
Assist the team lead in creating, reviewing, and maintaining policies and procedures related to risk management, ensuring they remain current and compliant.
Coordinate relevant risk management committees by preparing materials, tracking action items, and facilitating follow-up activities as needed.
Act as the first point of contact for resolving issues related to business continuity management and operational resilience, escalating matters when necessary.
Build relationships throughout the organisation to establish a peer network that supports information gathering and effective inter-departmental collaboration.
