Join us! **Job Description:** Global Banking Operations is seeking to expand its services & infrastructure in Asia. The business is looking for dynamic and talented individuals to support the strategy in order to meet the growth demands from clients and client management groups in the product areas of Payments/Wire, Trade & Credit Services, Bank Notes, Commercial cards etc. We are currently seeking a Business Control Specialist (Quality Assurance) to join our team. Working with 12 countries and 19 Branches, together with a team located in 6 different countries in APAC, your role is to implement new automated Test of Controls (TOC), enhance and perform existing TOC essential to review controls effectiveness of GBO processes in the region. The role offers an opportunity to learn and help enhance controls around Payments, Cash, Deposits, Trade Finance and Credit Operations processes across the APAC region. It is also the perfect path to a greater understanding of the activities that form part of a Service & Fulfillment and Operations organization, learning the flow all the way from client implementation and onboarding, opening new accounts, to a successful processing of their transactions. This role offers huge learning opportunities and opens a path into potential new avenues within the Global Banking Operations and the wider organization. **Responsibilities:** + Support QA data tracking, request, gathering, analysis and reporting for various stakeholders including management, Compliance, Audit and LOB(s). + Maintain QA documentation and data effectively in various repositories, Shared drive / Sharepoint etc. + Create new and enhance existing Test of Controls (TOC) with automation. + Share QA automation with FLU for further adoption within their inline or Day 2 QA. + Complete assigned TOC samples within strict deadlines independently. + Perform extensive data analysis and deep-dive review to build test script and management reporting. + Support various QA initiatives including streamlining testing performed by branch Operations. + Listen and read native languages used in Japan to review client documentations and call logs if you are proficient in Japanese language (Spoken is not required). + Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness of testing to identify process gaps, exceptions, and process improvement opportunities. + Support sustainability test for any new and existing issues. + Able to develop comprehensive test scripts and provide training to support new or existing test of controls requirements. + Actively identify and early escalation of control deficiencies and gaps to discuss with line management, and initiate control recommendations. + Proactively review internal LOB procedures, test scripts, results communication and reporting to ensure adherence to internal LOB guidelines. + Support horizontal deliverables across risk and business controls function. + Exposed to multiple line of businesses (LOBs) to develop understanding of Bank end-to-end processes and business acumen. + Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of the bank’s client access products/services, payment and trade capabilities, internal operations and local practices. **Skills:** + Minimum 5 years in Risk management and Quality Assurance experience. + Knowledge of Treasury, Trade, Credit or similar Banking Operations processes is required. + Proven Experience in process automation with minimally VBA Macro skills is an added advantage. + Capability to perform extensive data analysis and transform to management reporting. + Multilingual (Japanese) would be an added advantage. Fluent in English is a must. + Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience. + Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills. + Excellent project management skills.
