Responsibilities:

Manage the overall finance functions of the Labuan Branch (including finance operations)Review and submit regulatory financial and statistical reports to Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA)Review and submit J-GAAP and US-GAAP returns to Head OfficeReview and submit management reporting to Head OfficeResposible for all external and internal audit & tax related mattersEnsure reconciliation of all key accounts (including Nostro and Vostro) on timely basisEnsure tax return is submitted to IRB and tax payments are paid promptlyReview, assess and improve internal control over financial reporting and operationsDevelop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key internal and external stakeholders Based in Kuala Lumpur but willing to travel to Labuan as needed

Requirements:

Applicant must have a recognized degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA).Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting within the banking or financial sector.Prior experience in LFSA reporting is an added advantage.Strong understanding of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).Solid experience in preparing regulatory reports.Ability to work independently and apply strong problem-solving skills.Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with business stakeholders.Team-oriented, with the ability to build relationships and take lead on accounting functions within the branch
