Assistant to External Operations Manager

POSITION TITLE:Assistant to External Operations Manager
SALARY RANGE:$65,000 - $82,000 STATUS:MANAGEMENT

TheAssistant to the External Operations Managerfor the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office shall follow the Department’s chain of command policy and work within Administration under the direction of the External Operations Manager (EOM).

STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

(The following duties are illustrative and do not encompass all responsibilities of the position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.)

•Shall serve as the secondary contact for external operations management and provide daily assistance to the EOM as needed.

•Shall assist with the overall supervision of External Operations projects including administrative planning, project development, completion and quality assurance.

•Shall be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including painting, floor care, housekeeping, small construction projects, and all services and task associated with the upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of outside facilities. (Example: NSO locations at the Braintree Public Safety Complex and the NSO Civil Process Office in Quincy).

•Shall meet all standards and regulations requiring compliance with ADA standards to assure needs are met at both outside locations.

•Shall be responsible for timely delivery of quality services to assure a high standard of sanitation, and all health and safety measures required, are provided in accordance to all regulatory statues, laws, and aggregation standards

•Shall render assistance under the direction of the EOM in identifying and communicating issues and needs that require specialized outside vendor service in order to meet the required maintenance schedules through a preventive maintenance program.

•Shall adhere to all applicable standards, policies and procedures.

•Ability to work flexible 40-hour minimum weekly schedule based on needs of External Operations projects, events and priorities.

(The Sheriff of Norfolk County reserves the right to modify these responsibilities as needed.)

HOURS OF WORK:
(7:30am - 3:30pm) 40 hours. These hours may vary according to the needs of the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office and may be set by the Sheriff or designee. Hours are subject to change and could include nights, or weekends as required by ongoing needs of the facility(s), or outside activities, programs, and community engagement events.
