The Assistant Supervisor position within the enterprise procurement and logistics team is a pivotal role that involves overseeing local indirect material buyers and managing the logistics process. This multifaceted role encompasses a range of supply chain responsibilities, including purchasing, supplier sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management for indirect material commodities. Beyond these core functions, the Assistant Supervisor will play a crucial role in driving the team's key performance indicators, conducting performance evaluations, optimizing processes for efficiency, and actively supporting the company's strategic initiatives. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to lead and contribute to the success of the procurement and logistics operations while fostering growth and innovation within the team. + **Strategic Function:** + Develop and implement a strategic purchasing strategy to streamline procurement processes and achieve cost savings. + Provide input and support strategic initiatives to contribute to the company's long-term success. + **Transactional Function:** + Handle internal customer requests efficiently + Execute procurement processes for indirect material commodities, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, RFQs, PO issuance, and supplier agreement management. + Monitor the delivery of goods and services and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and efficiency. + **Logistics Function:** + Handle shipment requests for domestic, import, and export transactions, providing timely updates to requesters. + Manage RFQs for shipments with couriers or forwarders, negotiating rates for cost-effectiveness. + Validate courier invoices accurately to ensure financial compliance. + Renew government permits related to shipments, such as Bureau of Customs permits and licenses. + Coordinate asset disposal requests with suppliers, ensuring fair market value and proper hauling coordination. + Manage supplier accreditation requirements, including document checks and system uploads. + Receive and process deliveries and service transactions, endorsing invoices to the accounts payable team. + Update IT databases for receiving laptops and peripherals, maintaining accurate records. + Maintain a tracker for transactions and shipments, resolving any document errors promptly. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and utilize project management skills for effective procurement planning, especially during year-end requirements. + **Administrative Function:** + Develop, implement, monitor, and review annual objectives and individual development plans for team members to foster growth and performance. + Drive and monitor key performance indicators to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness. + Review and update procurement and logistics policies to align with industry best practices and company goals. + Develop and implement a robust business continuity plan for the team to ensure operational resilience. + Coach, mentor, and guide team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. + Provide valuable input and suggestions for the team's annual budget to optimize resource allocation. + Regularly provide and present comprehensive operational reports to management for informed decision-making. **Our Commitment to Our People** Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
