Responsibilities

Assists the EVS Supervisor in providing work direction to staff, managing workload, customer demands, and equipment. Contributes to staff orientation and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment. This position will support the Saint Marys Campus

Additional Responsibilities:

The ES Assistant Supervisor works cooperatively with the ES leadership team regarding the enforcement of policies, procedures, quality assurance, education, process improvement and finances. Assists with guiding and developing assigned staff. The ES Assistant Supervisor participates in various departmental and inter-departmental committees as recorder or participant. The ES Assistant Supervisor adheres to the Department mission statement, "To provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors in keeping with the mission and philosophy of the Mayo Foundation." Works on special projects as assigned by the Environmental Services Supervisors, Managers and Director.

Qualifications

This position requires a High School diploma and at least two-year related experience.

Additional Qualifications:

Two-year post-secondary degree preferredDemonstrated supervisory skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, written and oral communication skills are required.Proficiency in the use of computers specifically: word-processing, spreadsheets, and data entry is necessary.Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous performance improvement concepts is preferred. Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
