Job Title: Assistant Sommelier
Location: Brasserie Constance @ Fulham Pier
Salary: £30,000–£34,000 + Tronc

About Us:
Brasserie Constance, located at the iconic Fulham Pier, is a modern British brasserie led by Michelin-starred chef Adam Byatt. With a 100-cover dining room, an expertly curated wine list of over 200 labels, and a focus on refined hospitality, we offer a premium yet welcoming experience. We are open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, and for lunch on Sundays.

The Role:
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Sommelier to join our front-of-house team. Working alongside our Head Sommelier, you will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience through thoughtful wine service and education.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Head Sommelier in curating and maintaining the wine list, ensuring diversity and quality.

Provide thoughtful wine recommendations and pairings tailored to each guest’s preferences.

Oversee day-to-day cellar management including inventory, stock rotation, and ordering.

Deliver engaging wine training and tastings for FOH staff to elevate service standards.

Ensure all wine service aligns with our commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and producers.

Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards across all wine storage and service areas.

About You:

A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a quality-led restaurant environment.

A genuine passion for wine and hospitality.

Strong communication skills and a guest-focused approach.

A team player with a proactive attitude and high standards.

WSET Level 2 or equivalent (preferred).

Organised, calm under pressure, and eager to learn.
