Mission Blvd. Pomona CA Classification: Full-Time/ Exempt Reports to:  Site Manager Our compensation and benefits show how much we value our team. + $70,000-$85,000 annual salary plus bonus   + Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance- Employer pays a generous portion of employee premiums + 401K with employer match (available after 1 year) + Life Insurance- no cost to employee + Paid Vacation and Sick Leave  Job Summary: The Assistant Site Manager/Sales manager is the “Acting Site Manager” in the absence of the Site Manager at the Pomona location.  This role also is the senior manager in charge of all aspects of the sales department.  The person in this role ensures all customer service needs are met while also promoting the sale of goods and services where the opportunity may exist. Primary Responsibilities: Sales Manager + Work towards achieving all goals and objectives for Sales team. + Interview, hire, and evaluate performance of Sales team. + Train, coach and motivate sales team. + Analyze and resolve customer service issues or assist Customer Service Supervisor or Barkers in resolving customer service issues. + Establish or adjust work assignments to meet deadlines. + Perform sales duties to assist team in meeting goals and maintaining customer service levels. + Prepare and present activity and productivity reports in daily team meetings. + Help control environment within the sales office by constantly reinforcing standards of being courteous, professional, and patient with anyone needing assistance. + Regulate an even flow of transactions throughout the day to help decrease the turnaround time for customers. + Promote product awareness by providing product information and training to the Sales team regarding parts value proposition, full service part sales “warranty up sales” and other topics. + Other duties as assigned or otherwise identified. Assistant Site Manager – In support of the Site Manager and when Site Manager is not on property. + Follow all safety policies and procedures.  + Ensure appropriate PPE is being used in accordance with the company PPE Matrix. + Oversee safety related activities; monthly safety topics, close call and near miss protocols and ensure timely completion of safety reporting. + Address, resolve, and report to Senior Management, any witnessed or reported unsafe act or threats of violence by fellow associates, customers and/or vendors.  + Review, analyze and provide feedback on financial reporting. Accountable to P&L and managing controllable expenses. + Ensure that staffing and scheduling is in line with planned labor budget. Recruit when needed to ensure proper staff levels are maintained. + Ensure that all time and attendance processing is completed on time and accurate. + Responsible for ensuring storm water and environmental compliance. + Ensure tools and supplies are on hand for staff to complete their job duties. + Ensure proper maintenance of tools and equipment. + Monitor and maintain associate performance through training, coaching, feedback and discipline. + Communicate with the Senior Management regularly to maintain and discuss integrity, operations, development and needs of the local store. + Assist yard associates by using equipment and machinery to when necessary to access needed vehicles and parts (only when certified to use such equipment). + Ensure company assets are secured through proper use of designated security systems and measures. + Lookout for, and correct and/or report, customer and associate safety concerns. + Ensure compliance with all human resources policies and procedures. + Ensure that onboarding and separation paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. + Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified. Required Skills & Qualifications:   + Must have at least three years’ experience managing people. + Must be a strong leader. + Good organizational skills. + Working knowledge of the automotive industry. + Highly motivated with great customer communication skills. + Multi-tasking ability, strong and clear decision maker, a goal-oriented individual. + Basic computer skills (Windows, Explorer, Outlook) + Must demonstrate regular attendance and timely arrivals. + Must be able to handle stressful situations consistent with job duties and the industry and work well with others. + Must have a valid California Drivers License + Must be able to pass a background check.   Powered by JazzHR
