Summary This Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position will be assigned to the Community Services Flight at Wright-Patterson, AFB. This position services as the assistant to the supervisor in a large canteen operation, and assists in the supervision and training of subordinate workers. Assists in the supervision and training of subordinate workers, assists in selecting employees, explains work requirements, defines standards of quality and quantity, provides training, evaluates performance, and initiates award or disciplinary action as warranted. Assists in performing inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels, proper price marking, and ensuring security of stock, cash and fixed assets. Assists in reviewing cash register tapes, makes bank deposits and prepares required reports. Plans and provides for special set-ups of pastry, coffee or snacks. Performs a variety of cooking tasks and is responsible for preparing foods and serving visitors as needed.
