In this role, you'll work side-by-side with an experienced leader, learning the ropes while still making a big impact every day in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Pay Rate: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on program site ) + Additional $2.00/hour weekend shift differential Compensation varies by location (program site), with hourly rates ranging from $22.00 to $23.00 per hour. Employees working weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) will receive an additional $2.00 per hour. What You'll Do General Purpose: Support the Residential Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations at a residential site for individuals with developmental disabilities. Ensure quality services, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and promote independence and community inclusion for residents. Key Responsibilities: Staff Supervision & Development + Train, orient, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). + Assist with staff scheduling, team meetings, and performance management. + Participate in the hiring process and ensure staff maintain certifications. Resident Support & Advocacy + Support residents' emotional, physical, and personal well-being. + Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and community participation. + Ensure medical and behavioral needs are identified and addressed. + Administer or supervise medication according to plans and regulations. Administrative & Compliance + Maintain accurate records (medical, billing, attendance, assessments). + Ensure compliance with safety procedures and OPWDD regulations. + Manage and monitor residents' personal funds within policy limits. Daily Living & Environmental Support + Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. + Assist residents with hygiene, dressing, and other personal care as needed. Requirements : + High School Diploma or GED required + Six months experience working with persons with disabilities required, one year preferred + Exceptional written, communication, and computer skills + A valid NYS Driver's license or the ability to convert an out of state license within 90 days. + Ability to be certified in all required trainings + Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds Comprehensive Benefits : Health, dental, and vision coverage, plus 24/7 access to a doctor for you and your household.
