Assistant Registrar for Transfer and Articulation for BCM/BCB

Job Description:

Berklee is seeking an organized, collaborative, and student-centered Assistant Registrar for Transfer and Articulation to join the Office of the Registrar. This pivotal role ensures that every credit earned by students—whether transferred from another institution, earned via AP/IB/CLEP exams, or awarded through Berklee Global Partners—is reviewed, validated, and applied with care and precision.

This role supports all aspects of transfer credit evaluation and articulation for students at both Berklee College of Music (BCM) and Boston Conservatory at Berklee (BCB). From creating transcript evaluations and articulation agreements to overseeing ProArts Consortium registration and internal transfers, the Assistant Registrar is a critical bridge between students, academic advising, enrollment, and academic departments. They help ensure our systems are accurate, our policies are clear, and our students are seen.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Evaluate and process all forms of transfer credit, including AP/IB/CLEP exams and coursework from other institutions and Berklee Global Partners.Maintain accurate credit equivalency tables in Workday and Colleague/PowerCampus systems.Manage credit articulation for institutional transfers between Berklee Online, BCM, and BCB.Coordinate the ProArts Consortium course registration and grading process.Collaborate closely with Enrollment, Academic Advising, and department chairs to ensure timely and accurate information for transfer students.Train advising staff and support academic departments in understanding transfer policies.Supervise student workers and lead process improvement efforts with a focus on service and efficiency.Additionally, this role handles returning students and all facets of grading.

This is a highly collaborative and technical role requiring a strong understanding of student information systems (especially Workday and Salesforce), a commitment to operational excellence, and a deep respect for the student experience.

Hiring Range: $61,000 to $72,000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
