Job Description
The Assistant Quality Manager ensures food safety and quality standards are consistently met. This role acts as the lead point of contact for all quality assurance and food safety documents, overseeing Quality Programs and Compliance, and managing SQF program documents to ensure the organization is audit-ready. The position involves maintaining all Identify Preserved programs, including Organic, Kosher, Halal, and NGMO, and performing product and material traces for data accuracy and inventory management. The Assistant Quality Manager supports and leads companywide facility quality audits and inspections, engages employees in GMPs, programs, and policies, and leads in resolving consumer complaints.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure food safety and quality standards are met.Act as lead point of contact for all quality assurance and food safety documents.Manage and organize SQF program documents, ensuring audit readiness.Maintain Identify Preserved programs, including Organic, Kosher, Halal, and NGMO.Perform product and material traces and conduct mock trace exercises.Support and lead companywide facility quality audits and inspections.Engage employees in GMPs, programs, and policies to improve compliance.Lead the resolution of consumer complaints.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in science or similar preferred.Minimum of 2 years experience in leading food quality audits.SQF Practitioner certification.HACCP certification.SQF audit experience.PCQI certification.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
