Assistant Property Manager
Description We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to oversee the operations of assigned properties in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance, maintaining financial stability, and managing occupancy levels for various residential units. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise in the real estate and property management industry. Responsibilities: • Monitor the financial performance of assigned properties to ensure long-term viability. • Oversee leasing activities, including marketing efforts and managing waitlists to minimize vacancies. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including timely completion of annual certifications. • Maintain accurate and audit-ready property files at all times. • Utilize property management software, such as Yardi and Rent Cafe, to streamline operations. • Address tenant inquiries and resolve issues in a meticulous and timely manner. • Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure prompt resolution of property-related concerns. • Prepare reports and documentation to support compliance and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth management of all property functions. Requirements • Proven experience in property management, with working knowledge of LIHTC regulations and affordable housing compliance. • Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi and Rent Cafe. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining audit-ready files. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with tenants and team members. • Ability to manage leasing activities and marketing strategies effectively. • Knowledge of financial management principles related to property operations. • Problem-solving skills to address tenant issues and property concerns efficiently.
