As an Assistant Project Manager with our Transportation\/Public Works team in Tucson, you will utilize your expertise to assist Project Managers in managing all aspects of transportation and public works projects while working in a team-oriented environment and interacting with clients.\n

Responsibility Highlights for our Assistant Project Manager - Transportation\n\nOrganizing and executing the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of project assignments requiring extensive knowledge of transportation and public works projects\nSupervising the technical work of other engineers and designers\nAssisting the PM with coordination of internal staff, subconsultants and agencies, adhering to project requirements\nTraining and mentoring team members\nAssisting the PM in managing workflow, budget, scheduling, and cost estimating\nRepresenting Psomas and clients to agencies and contractors\nAssisting with business development efforts and pursuit planning\n\n

Minimum Qualifications to be our Assistant Project Manager - Transportation\n\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering\nProfessional Registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of Arizona (or ability to obtain within 6 months)\nA minimum of 6+ years' civil engineering experience with transportation and public works projects\nExpert technical knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures\nTechnical knowledge with proven experience in preparing technical reports, designs, specification, and computations\nKnowledge in computer software utilized in the transportation industry - MicroStation, InRoads, Civil3D and AutoCAD\nFamiliarity with local municipality design and procedures, regulatory compliance and agency coordination\nThorough understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and scope of services\n\n
