Job Description
Join a dynamic and employee-owned electrical construction company specializing in substation construction and maintenance, transmission and distribution, and industrial electrical services. We are urgently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support interior substation construction projects in Washington D.C.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities.Organize and maintain project contract documents.Prepare construction schedules.Assist in coordination of quality control and safety procedures.Review and process all subcontractor Requests for Information (RFIs).Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of General Contracting construction experience.Experience in construction management and project coordination.Proficiency in managing RFIs and contract compliance.Strong organizational and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in construction management or related field OR equivalent experience.Knowledge and experience in Construction Estimating, means and methods, and accounting.Understanding of industry practices and document administration.Experience managing others is beneficial.Experience working for a general contractor for MEP is a plus.Work Environment
This role is based in Washington D.C., with 75% of the time spent on the project site and 25% in the office. The position offers a vibrant work environment with opportunities for internal growth within a large electrical/utility general contractor.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
