Your Role
Join our team as an Assistant Project Manager with the British Columbia Team in our Victoria office!
In this role, you’ll support experienced project managers and get the opportunity to sharpen your skills on diverse range of projects varying in scope and complexity across British Columbia. You will grow your project management skills by contributing to various projects such as building and facilities project in the healthcare and education sectors as well as commercial buildings, fit-ups, schools, water and wastewater.

Responsibilities Work alongside experienced project managers to learn the keys to client satisfaction and successful project deliveryProvide project support to the Project Manager(s) including schedule updates, progress reports and preparation of tender and contract documentsEngage in on-site organization of contractors and consultantsAttend project and site meetings to capture action items Provide a communication path between the Project Manager(s) and contractors, consultants and suppliersProvide relief support on other projects when available to do soEnsure that project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System Qualifications A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)Preferably of 2 - 3 years of experience representing owners to multiple stakeholders to deliver projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors including, healthcare, education and municipal/provincialE.I.T preferred Actively working towards obtaining the Project Management Professional Designation (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. Previous exposure to consultant and design management, construction contract administration and project financial an assetAn understanding of project delivery models, including design-build, construction management, design-bid-buildExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills A results-oriented approach with the ability to take responsibilityExceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlinesStrong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
Approximate Base Salary Range for Role: $60,000 CAD to $80,000 CAD.
Base Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
