Your role

 

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team based in Southern Ontario!

 

In this role, you’ll support experienced project managers and get the opportunity to sharpen your skills on diverse range of projects varying in scope and complexity across Southern Ontario. You will grow your project management skills by contributing to various projects from commercial buildings and fit-ups, social organizations, schools, water and wastewater and Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities You will be a communication link between the Project Manager, client and other stakeholdersProvide project support to Project Managers by managing schedule updates, maintaining project controls, developing progress reports and preparing tender and contract documentsEnsure project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders’ Quality Management SystemAttend project meetings, documenting action items and key decisions to share with the teamProvide relief support to other Assistant Project Managers or Project Managers, as required  Qualifications A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience1-3 years’ experience supporting the delivery of projects in areas such as construction, engineering or architecturePrevious experience can include summer work terms, co-operative education programs or internshipsAn overall general understanding of current construction practicesCAPM, LEED or other relevant industry accreditation is considered a strong asset, but not requiredExcellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, shows initiative and an eagerness to learn and contributeHighly proficient in MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel
