The role involves initiating, facilitating, and moderating classroom discussions, as well as compiling, administering, and grading examinations. Staying updated in the field is essential, achieved through reading current literature and participating in professional conferences. Scholarly activity, including presenting and publishing findings, is a key component of the position. Preparing course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts, along with planning, evaluating, and revising curricular content, course materials, and instructional methods, are central duties. The role also requires maintaining regular office hours to advise and assist students, collaborating on departmental course planning and development, and contributing to departmental projects and programs. Additionally, participation in department, division, and general faculty meetings, as well as other forms of university service, is expected. Minimum requirements: PhD in History; ABD will be considered. Must have expertise in South Asia history.
