The University of Pittsburgh’s Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Department of Economics seeks an Assistant Professor of Economics to teach undergraduate and graduate courses focused on economic theory in Pittsburgh, PA. Will also: (i) conduct and publish original research in economic theory in peer-reviewed journals; (ii) advise students and supervise research projects related to economic theory; (iii) secure external funding to support research; (iv) engage in departmental and university service, including committee work and collaborative projects; and (v) participate in academic conferences to contribute to the advancement of economic theory.
Must have a PhD degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Economics plus one (1) year of experience in a tenure-track research position.
Must have: (i) experience teaching Economics at both undergraduate and graduate levels; (ii) at least one publication in a leading general-interest economics journal with research related to preemption games; (iii) at least one publication or working paper in a leading journal in economic theory; and (iv) working papers in experimentation, dynamic games, and dynamic information design.
Experience can be concurrent.
