**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Sleep Medicine Physician to join our dynamic Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing academic and clinical sleep medicine program committed to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. For candidates with dual interests, the position can be customized to incorporate critical care and/or pulmonary medicine responsibilities.
**ESSESNTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**
+ Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient sleep medicine services, including diagnostic evaluations, management of sleep disorders, Inspire and PAP therapy oversight.
+ Interpret sleep studies (polysomnograms, home sleep tests, MSLTs/MWTs).
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pulmonology, neurology, psychiatry, and ENT.
+ Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
+ Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives, if desired.
+ Optional opportunities to:
+ Participate in critical care (ICU) coverage.
+ Practice pulmonary medicine (if board certified/eligible).
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
+ Board certification or eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
+ Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas.
+ Strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and scholarly activities.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Additional board certification in Pulmonary, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, or Pediatrics.
+ Experience in academic medicine or program development.
+ Interest in clinical research or sleep telemedicine innovation.
**SALARY:**
Commensurate with experience.
