Summary of Job Duties:The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a part-time Assistant Professor to join our faculty in the area of speech-language pathology. This 9-month clinical faculty position will serve as a clinical educator in the Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders program. The work schedule will vary across the fall and spring semesters. We are looking for a team-oriented professional with a strong commitment to clinical teaching and the development of future speech-language pathologists in our CAA-accredited graduate program. This is an on-site position based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (minimum of 3 years)

Current or eligible for licensure as an SLP in the state of Arkansas

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of speech-language pathology

Preferred Qualifications:

Clinical experience in pediatric practice

Expertise in one or more of the following areas: early intervention, autism spectrum disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, multilingual assessment/intervention

Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Prior experience with university-level student supervision or teaching

5+ years of clinical experience

Supervise graduate students during clinical practicum experiences

Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical education experiences

Teach graduate-level coursework as assigned

Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student progress and program goals

Maintain accurate and timely records related to clinical supervision and assessment

Participate in program and departmental meetings and activities
