We are seeking a motivated Assistant Pipefitter to support pipeline construction and maintenance projects. This hands-on role involves assembling, installing, modifying, and repairing pipe systems that transport water, steam, air, and other liquids or gases. Responsibilities may include operating a variety of hand and power tools, preparing and cleaning job sites, digging trenches, setting supports, and assisting skilled tradespeople as needed.

Prep and clean job sitesDig pits and/or for trenches, backfill, compact and level to gradeControl traffic in and around work zonesPothole to expose utilitiesInstall underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbingAssemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering blazeLocate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers or levelsCut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe treaders or pipe bendersOperate hand tools, jackhammers, air compressors and vacuumsLoad, transport and unload tools and materialsPerform general physical activities that may include climbing, lifting and balanceComplete pre-trip and driver logs when applicableDrive Company vehicles responsibly and safelyLoading, properly strapping & hauling heavy equipment as well as towing a vac, dumping & cleaning the vacOther duties as assigned Requirements Prior experience in construction, utility installation, or general labor preferredAbility to prep and clean job sites, dig trenches or pits, backfill, and level ground to gradeCapable of safely controlling traffic in and around work zonesExperience with potholing to expose underground utilitiesBasic knowledge of underground piping systems (storm, sanitary, or water) installationAbility to assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings using various materials (e.g., couplings, clamps, cement, solder, etc.)Skilled in measuring, marking, and locating pipe installations using rulers, levels, or similar toolsAbility to cut, thread, and shape pipes using saws, torches, pipe threaders, and bendersComfortable operating hand tools, jackhammers, air compressors, and vacuumsAble to lift, carry, and transport tools and materials safelyExperience and ability to use basic hand tools, jackhammers and jumping jacksAble to bend, lift, kneel and stand for long periods of timeAble to withstand exposure to heat, cold and rain; chemicals and fumes; dust from roads and break up of concrete; cars on roadsMust have Class A CDL; N endorsement required; airbrakes & manual preferredMust provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves drivingPassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
