Responsibilities Performs all staff pharmacist duties proficientlyPerforms as an expert on the pharmacy technology system and how it is used for both routine and complex prescription processingIn coordination with the pharmacist in charge, manages department performance, productivity, purchasing, and task assignment to ensure complex operational activities are met in a timely and efficient mannerProvides training and mentorship to develop high functioning pharmacy teamsDedicated to the overall pharmacy success by acting as a motivating and inspiring leader within the pharmacyPerforms in accordance with all policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs Obtains, as necessary, and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and corporate compliance policyResponds to pharmaceutical inquiries from customers and pharmacy staff, interpreting their needs and offering information and adviceMaintains patient database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medicationsCompletes other duties as assigned Qualifications Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D desiredPharmacy experience; two or more years' experience in hospice and/or long-term care pharmacyKnowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations concerning long-term care and/or hospice and pharmaceutical care practices for long-term care and/or hospice residentsAbility to use a computer is a plusCurrent license in state of practiceGood organization and planning, detail/goal oriented, team player, customer service, oral communication skils About our Line of Business OnePoint Patient Care, an affiliate of PharMerica, is the nation’s leading independent provider of community-based hospice pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management (PBM) services – offering hospices nationwide flexible and adaptable solutions for their hospice pharmacy needs.
