Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Room
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose** At **Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Cen** **ter** , the Assistant Nurse Manager, also known internally as Senior Clinical Advisor, will support the Nurse Manager in administrative and managerial duties while guiding the healthcare team in delivering best clinical practices within the perioperative setting. **What You Will Do** + Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing unit personnel and maintaining a safe, efficient, and supportive nursing environment. + Supervise charge nurses and frontline staff, contributing to staff coordination, scheduling, and throughput. + Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development. + Promote a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement. + Lead by example, fostering respectful communication, collaboration, and professional growth. + Support evidence-based practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. + Drive effective patient care outcomes and operational performance through transformational leadership. **Minimum Qualifications** **Required:** + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). + Valid RN license in Connecticut. **Preferred:** + The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in **Emergency Room** nursing. + 1 or more years of management or supervisory experience, such as a charge nurse. + BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). **Position Highlights and Benefits** + Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Day Shift. + Salaried position **Ministry/Facility Information** Saint Francis Hospital, established in 1897, has been a cornerstone institution in Connecticut.
